Masterclass Dankbaarheid @ Jazz Coaching en Training Schagen
mrt 11 @ 19:00 – 21:30

Meaning Conference @ Hotel Novotel Toronto
jul 30 – aug 2 hele dag
Meaning Conference @ Hotel Novotel Toronto | Toronto | Ontario | Canada

UPDATE: Due to the new Corona virus crisis, dr. Lilian Jans-Beken will not attend the Meaning Conference 2020 in Toronto in person.

From vulnerability to resilience and well-being: advances in existential and positive psychology (PP 2.0).

The Meaning Conference rises to the challenge of a world dangerously divided. Problems such as global warming, refugee crisis, growing income gap, and the alarming increases in depression, opioid-related deaths, and suicide, are beyond the scope of any research field. This demands a multidisciplinary solution such as the INMP’s inclusive “Big Tent” approach.

We are living in a time when our vulnerability is laid bare by the external threats and our collective existential crisis. We have to embrace it as an opportunity to explore and discover new pathways to resilience and well-being. This is the basic orientation of second wave positive psychology (PP2.0). PP 2.0 is the scientific study of meaning, resilience, virtue, and well-being. It also looks at applications to improve the life of individuals and society by embracing the dark side of human existence.

Dr. Lilian Jans-Beken of the Thriving Human Science Center will be organizing a symposium on existential gratitude during the Meaning Conference. The program of the symposium will be posted here when all the speakers are lined up.
